Traq

Support for time that matters.

Traq keeps activity tracking simple: manage activities on iPhone, track them on Apple Watch, and let your private iCloud account keep the pair in sync.

Before you start

  • Use a compatible iPhone and paired Apple Watch running the versions listed with your TestFlight or App Store build.
  • Install Traq on iPhone and its companion app on Apple Watch.
  • Sign both devices into the intended Apple account and keep iCloud available for cross-device history synchronization.

Using Traq

Create and manage activities

Create and edit activities on iPhone. The Apple Watch app does not create activities. Use an activity's detail screen to edit it, move it to Archive, or restore it to On Watch.

Seven Watch slots

On Watch holds up to seven displayed activities. Traq never archives or replaces one automatically. If all seven slots are occupied, stop a running archived activity or archive an On Watch activity before creating or restoring another. A running archived activity counts toward the limit; restoring that same activity changes its category without taking another slot.

Track on Apple Watch

Tap an activity circle to start, switch, or stop tracking. When fewer than seven activities are displayed, the passive plus circle is a reminder to create the next activity on your iPhone.

Archive without losing history

Archive removes an activity from the normal Watch list while preserving its detail page, totals, and sessions. Restoring places it at the end of the current On Watch order when a slot is available.

Missed sessions and analytics

From an activity detail screen on iPhone, choose Add Missed Session to record past time. Manual sessions cannot overlap another session and are labeled Manual in history. You can correct or delete them later.

Analytics summarizes the previous seven days, including time for archived activities and accepted manual sessions. Recent Watch changes may take a moment to appear while synchronization completes.

If iPhone and Watch disagree

  1. Keep the iPhone and Apple Watch nearby, paired, and connected.
  2. Confirm the intended Apple account is signed into iCloud on both devices.
  3. Open Traq on both devices and allow a minute for current changes to arrive.
  4. Check the iPhone's iCloud status. Local tracking remains usable while iCloud is unavailable, and synchronization resumes when service returns.

Avoid deleting either app while recent offline changes are still waiting to sync. Unsynchronized local changes can be lost when an app is deleted.

TestFlight updates and reinstalling

Install iPhone updates from Apple's TestFlight app. If automatic Watch app installation is off, open the Watch app on iPhone and install or update Traq there.

Before reinstalling, bring both devices online and wait for iCloud synchronization to finish. Reinstall with the same Apple account, open both apps, and allow time for private iCloud history to return. Do not use a reinstall as the first troubleshooting step for unsynchronized activity.
